Success Indicators for Critical Sectors Job Quality (CS) Grantees

About

The following indicators identify areas that CS grant recipients can focus on to support grant success in transforming job quality and increasing the availability of good jobs in the care, climate resiliency, and hospitality industry sectors. Use the indicators to assess where to focus your efforts at different points in the period of performance.

Note that the indicators are not listed in order of importance or implementation, as all are important to CS grantees' missions and should be used in an iterative manner.

The indicators are aligned with the CS Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA), the Department of Labor Employment and Training Administration's Core Monitoring Guide (CMG), and the Job Quality Starter Guide. The success indicators are not guidance; rather, they form the framework for the Department's technical assistance efforts.

  1. Effective Organizational and Operational Management
  2. Systems Change Impact
  3. Sustainable Systems Change
  4. Job Quality Strategy
  5. Strategic Partnerships
  6. Industry-Driven Workforce Development
  7. Worker Voice and Engagement
  8. Effective Training Design (For Tier 2 Grantees)

Tracking Success

CS grantees can use these indicators to identify key focus areas that will support success. They can be used for self-assessment with grantee teams and to create dynamic checklists and timelines to track progress toward meeting the goals of the Critical Sectors Job Quality grant program. DOL will use the Success Indicators to guide technical assistance (TA) efforts.
