These policy documents and other resources are the foundation of the Critical Sectors Job Quality grant activities. They include the Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) and related amendments, policy clarifications distributed by Department of Labor: Employment and Training Administration (DOL-ETA), the Grantee Handbook, and new grantee orientation.

Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) 

FOA-ETA-23-13: Amendment 1 published on June 5, 2023, modifies language from the Section IV.B.3.f.i Budget and Budget Narrative for Tier 2.

FOA-ETA-23-13: Amendment 2 published on May 16, 2024. This announcement amends the second closing date, amount available, and clarifies several definitions and terms.

DOL Critical Sectors Job Quality Grantee Abstracts

In Round 1, the U.S. Department of Labor awarded 12 DOL Critical Sectors Job Quality grants to the following types of entities:

  • Labor Unions and Organizations, Labor‐Management Partnerships, and Worker Centers and Organizations (1)
  • Workforce Intermediaries (2)
  • State and Local Workforce Development Boards (3)
  • Education/Training Provider(s) (2)
  • National or Community‐based Nonprofit Organizations (4)

In Round 2, the U.S. Department of Labor awarded eight Critical Sectors Job Quality grants to the following types of entities:

Critical Sector Job Quality Grantee Orientation
This webinar will provide new grantees information about their Critical Sector Job Quality grants and cover the following topics: Grant Program Overview; Federal Team Introductions; Grants Management: Award Package Overview; Grant Modifications; Conditions of Award; Performance Reporting Guidance; and Communication Methods.
