Here are some policy guidance resources Training and Employment Notices (TENs) and Training and Employment Guidance Letters (TEGLs) to assist grantees with any performance reporting questions.
- Training and Employment Guidance Letter No. 14-18: Aligning Performance Accountability Reporting, Definitions, and Policies Across Workforce Employment and Training Programs Administered by DOL - This TEGL aligns and streamlines performance indicators and requirements across 15 U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Employment and Training Administration (ETA) programs to the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) performance indicators, while also rescinding and eliminating outdated performance guidance for these programs in addition to clarifying existing ETA performance accountability policies that changed due to WIOA.
- TEGL 23-19, Change 2: Revisions to TEGL 23-19, Change 1, Guidance for Validating Required Performance Data Submitted by Grant Recipients of DOL Workforce Programs - To provide clarification of program instructions, Attachment I and revised PDF and Excel versions of Attachment II to TEGL 23-19, Change 1, Guidance for Validating Required Performance Data Submitted by Grant Recipients of U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) Workforce Programs, issued on October 25, 2022.
- Training and Employment Notice No. 25-19: Understanding Postsecondary Credentials in the Public Workforce System - The information in this notice is intended to assist the public workforce system in better understanding the key elements of credentials and identifying credentials that help individuals acquire and leverage the skills needed for quality in-demand jobs that meet the needs of the business community describes.
- Training and Employment Notice No. 19-22, Change 1: Change 1 to Training and Employment Notice No. 19-22: Reporting Training in the DOL Participant Individual Record Layout (PIRL) - This information is to provide clarification and alignment of the reporting of training types in the PIRL and promote consistent and reliable data analysis across the DOL’s employment and training programs.
- Training and Employment Notice No. 08-24: Release and Availability of Updated 2024 U.S. Department of Labor’s Sector Strategies Framework - This TEN provides information on a new Sector Strategies Framework and supporting technical assistance resources. It also provides background on the collaborative research and analysis that was done to develop the updated resources.
