New Grant Opportunity: Round Two of the Critical Sectors Job Quality Grants

About

The U.S. Department of Labor has announced approximately $12 million in additional funding for the Critical Sectors Job Quality grants. This funding aims to improve job quality and expand access to good jobs in essential sectors, with an emphasis on the care economy.

Administered by the Employment and Training Administration, these grants support the development and implementation of worker-centered training programs. The grants emphasize partnerships that include industry and worker voices to enhance job quality, particularly for historically underserved communities.

“The Biden-Harris administration knows that good jobs change lives, and these grants will help to do just that,” said Acting Secretary Julie Su. “This additional funding will help improve the quality of jobs in high-demand industries that will continue to drive our historic economic growth.”
